CHINATOWN: LA’s first cat cafe is finally happening—for a limited time. The “Catfe” pop-up is set to hit Chinatown October 2 through 5, from 4 to 9 pm daily.

COSTA MESA: Southern Cali’s very first permanent Uniqlo store has finally opened at South Coast Plaza. The affordable Japanese retailer is set to open four more locations, and they’re all in LA County: Glendale Galleria and Northridge Fashion Center (September 26), Beverly Center (October 10), and Los Cerritos (spring 2015).

CITYWIDE: Behold: Racked’s first-ever ABCs to LA Shopping. Highlights include A for Alchemy Works in Downtown, H for Heist on Abbot Kinney, and S for Satine on West Third Street.

DOWNTOWN: DTLA has scored yet another cool-kid boutique. This time it’s AltHouse, a multi-brand retailer bringing cult-favorite designers like Suno and Rodebjer to the corner of Eighth and Main.
