ATWATER VILLAGE:: Goodwill’s huge flagship and outlet center opened on North San Fernando Road today. Covering a whopping 135,000 square feet, the spot is stocked with an abundance of secondhand clothing, home decor, furniture, and more. A cafĂ© and career resource center will open on the lot on May 1.

CITYWIDE: Here’s a handy map of 38 of Los Angeles’s best shops. Highlights include DTLA’s new OAK boutique inside the Sparkle Factory and that newish MUJI flagship in Hollywood.

FAIRFAX: District La Brea is getting its very own Bonobos boutique. The 1,500-square-foot shop will be stocked with outerwear, suits, shirts, denim, and more from the NYC-based menswear e-tailer.

DOWNTOWN: NYC lifestyle label Kinfolk Studios is opening its first West Coast outpost in DTLA. The 10,000-square-foot shop will be located in the basement of South Broadway’s historic Eastern Columbia Building and will host a boutique and bar, as well as music performances, movie screenings, art exhibits, and more.

CITYWIDE: Here’s a list of LA’s best consignment and resale shops. Turn your closet castoffs into cash at Wasteland on Melrose, Espionage on Beverly, Ampersand on Larchmont, and more.

CITYWIDE: Looking for our city’s best places to buy cool home decor and furniture? There’s a map for that. Racked LA’s annual Home Goods 38 list includes spots like MUJI in Hollywood, Platform in Highland Park, and Bountiful in Venice.

DOWNTOWN: OAK NYC is bringing minimalism to DTLA’s Sparkle Factory. The East Coast-bred retailer’s 2,200-square-foot space features brands like Costume National, BLK DNM, and Won Hundred.

CABAZON: Palm Springs-adjacent shopping destination Desert Hills Premium Outlets has just scored another handful of exciting new retailers. Marc Jacobs is opening May 10, Rag & Bone is opening June 1, Maje is opening June 2, Sandro is opening August 21, and Moncler is opening September 1. Sadly, none open before Coachella.

ARTS DISTRICT: A massive new wellness center is headed to DTLA’s Arts District. Called The Springs, the 13,000-square-foot space will feature a juice bar, a raw vegan restaurant, a yoga studio, and an organic wine bar.

GLENDALE: This weekend, the LA Living Show is set to take over the Glendale Civic Auditorium. $ 12 gets you access to the two-day bazaar’s eclectic furniture, art, objects, and textiles from vendors specializing in Art Deco, mid-century modern, folk art, and more.

DOWNTOWN: Take a tour of Sandast’s storefront/showroom in DTLA. The brand’s high-quality leather goods, a favorite of Johnny Depp, are peppered throughout the space, and vintage typewriters, sewing machines, and picture frames complete the look.

Curbed – On the Racked: H&M to Fashion Square, Container Paradise at the Farmer’s Market, Mixed-Use Mall in Huntington Beach

SHERMAN OAKS: After revamping its interiors last fall, Westfield Fashion Square is now adding H&M and Athleta to its directory. The stores are expected to open next month and this summer, respectively.

FAIRFAX: The Container Store is coming to the Farmer’s Market. Set to open this August, the organization-obsessed retailer is taking over the 20,000-square-foot space formerly occupied by the Children’s Place.

HUNTINGTON BEACH: Pacific City, a huge new oceanfront retail center, is set to open in Huntington next summer. Eventually there’ll be about 40 clothing stores and 20 restaurants, plus a hotel and marketplace, but so far only Equinox has signed on officially.

SANTA MONICA: MUJI’s second SoCal store is opening in Santa Monica this spring. The store will take over Patagonia’s former space at 2936 Main Street and will cover approximately 6,300 square feet.

WESTWOOD: The Hammer Museum’s Made in LA exhibition series returns this summer. The biennial event is taking place June 15 through September 7 and will include 35 local, up-and-coming artists.

BEVERLY GROVE: American Apparel’s Robertson store could be closing. Rumor has it that declining sales will force the shop to shutter in around two months.
